As president and CEO of the Institute for Leadership Education, Advancement & Development (I-LEAD, Inc.), Dave is an accomplished leadership trainer and consultant with over 20 years of experience, including for major clients such as the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Texas Department of Transportation, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and Ashoka.
Dave’s books, Genership: Beyond Leadership Toward Liberating the Creative Soul and its companion, The Inward Sun, as well as his novel, Queen of Angels, are available in print and e-book formats. He is a graduate of Haverford College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Denise DeVaan, MA, ACC
An executive and leadership coach certified by the International Coach Federation, Denise brings over 30 years of experience working with governments, nonprofit organizations, financial institutions and other private-sector partners to address poverty, financial empowerment, and asset and wealth-building issues for families and communities. Her personal time with Dorothy Day, Peter Drucker, Paolo Freire, and Peter Senge influences her work. In addition, she has deep experience with the U.S. Congress and Minnesota legislature working on these issues.
Denise works with senior and emerging leaders to build collaborative capabilities, and a mindful and emotionally intelligent presence, which together increase influence and impact.
Denise is a Kellogg National Fellow with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. She received the following awards: Social Entrepreneur of the Year, St. John’s University; the Distinguished Alumna of the Year, College of St. Benedict; and Contractor of the Year, federal Department of Health and Human Services. All recognize her leadership roles in creating significant impact.
